ENVIRONMENT
The land is not just a resource — it is the backbone of the nation.
It feeds us, fuels us, and anchors our identity.
The ANSR will protect Australia’s soil, water, and ecosystems — not as abstract ideals, but as strategic assets.
True nationalism demands more than guarding borders.
It demands stewardship of the ground we stand on.
Under the Republic, energy independence will be achieved through clean, efficient systems that serve Australians — without desecrating the land that sustains them.
Industry will be disciplined. Agriculture will be protected.
Every project will be judged by a single measure: does it serve the nation without damaging its foundation?
To degrade the land is to betray the people.
Under ANSR, that will not be allowed.

The ANSR Party is committed to asserting full and exclusive control over Australia’s land, environmental policies, and natural resources. We will withdraw from international treaties—such as the Paris Agreement—that compromise our sovereign right to govern these domains without foreign interference.
Australia’s environment will be protected not through global dictates, but through national stewardship. We will repeal burdensome regulations that stifle industry while preserving environmental safeguards tailored to Australia’s unique geography, climate, and long-term national interests.
Resource and energy independence will be a strategic priority. Australian industries will be developed, owned, and controlled by Australians—ensuring our wealth is retained within our borders and used for the benefit of our people.
While the Republic remains open to bilateral or multilateral cooperation, this will only occur on terms that respect our sovereignty. Global collaboration will never come at the cost of national control. Environmental policy will serve Australian interests first, last, and always.

The ANSR Party is committed to securing and managing Australia’s water resources for long-term national benefit—balancing water security, environmental sustainability, and regional development.
We oppose the discharge of untreated or partially treated sewage into Australian waters. Instead, we will prioritise the implementation of advanced water treatment technologies to purify wastewater for safe reuse in agriculture, industry, and landscaping, reducing dependence on freshwater reserves.
Strategic National Water Projects:
The Bradfield Scheme – Divert surplus coastal rainfall inland to revitalise drought-affected regions of Queensland.
Ord and Victoria River Expansions – Unlock northern Australia’s agricultural potential through expanded irrigation networks.
Fitzroy & Flinders River Dams – Establish reliable northern water reserves for food production and rural development.
Murray–Darling Basin Reforms – Restore balance between agriculture and ecosystem health in Australia’s most critical river system.
Esperance–Kalgoorlie Pipeline – Deliver stable water access to inland Western Australia to support remote communities and mining operations.
The ANSR will invest in water-efficient infrastructure and sustainable technologies to ensure these projects serve both present needs and future drought resilience. Our approach will secure national food security, support industrial growth, and drive population decentralisation into regional areas.
Through these measures, Australia will reclaim its position as a global leader in sovereign water management—using our most vital resource wisely, sustainably, and exclusively for the benefit of our people.

The ANSR Party is committed to transforming Australia’s under-utilised interior into a productive, habitable, and strategically valuable heartland. We will implement large-scale terraforming projects—combining water redistribution, inland lakes, soil renewal, and green corridors—to unlock the economic and environmental potential of inland Australia.
Terraforming is not speculative or experimental; it is a civil engineering strategy designed to stabilise the continent’s climate, expand arable land, and reduce the nation’s dependence on vulnerable coastal zones. This approach will create new agricultural, industrial, and settlement hubs, supported by a continental water grid and modern energy systems.
Inland development will be driven by strategic infrastructure. Low-lying basins such as Lake Eyre will be evaluated for transformation into permanent inland reservoirs or lakes, using desalination and water capture systems. Re-vegetation and soil regeneration programs will restore degraded regions, create fire-resistant landscapes, and improve long-term environmental stability.
Economic and population growth will follow. The interior will host new towns, industries, and logistics corridors, decentralising population and relieving pressure on coastal property markets. Industrial by-products—such as rehabilitated mine pits and existing remote infrastructure—will be integrated into this long-term development plan.
ANSR will pursue terraforming as a matter of national sovereignty and security. By bringing life and productivity into the interior, Australia will strengthen its food and energy independence, protect its borders, and build a self-sustaining continental civilisation.
